ADVERBS

The indeclinable words which define a verb and show place, time, method, quantity etc are called adverbs. Adverbs can define adjectives and even other adverbs.

According to their meanings, adverbs are divided into five kinds: place, time, manner and certainty (hesitation and negation).

Adverbs of place answer the question "where?"

Adverbs of time answer the question "when?"

Adverbs of manner answer the question "how?"

Adverbs of quantity answer the question "how much?" and "how many?"

Adverbs of certainty show that one confirms something.

Adverbs of hesitation show one's hesitation about something.

Adverbs of negation show that one refuses something.
