The Albert Gallatin Project

Welcome to the Albert Gallatin Project's dedicated site. Please pardon the dust as we finish putting the various elements in place as we prepare for the opening Symposium of the 6th Season of the Albert Gallatin Project and build a collection of podcasts.

With a dedicated home for the Project, the goal is to present a wider range of topics related to the development of our country during Mr. Gallatin's lifetime. Institutions hosting these programs will also be able to expand on the topics with the approval of the Project's leadership team.

Between scheduled programs, Mr. Gallatin will use the concept of "podcasts" for topics of particular interest. These will be posted as editing is completed. Longer "podcasts" and audio versions will be made available via various methods. Ordering information will be posted on podcasts page.

The 200th Anniversary of the National Road

Our opening program on October 27, 2018 recognizes the 200th Anniversary of the National Road (U.S.40) reaching its initial terminus in what was then Wheeling, Virginia (now West Virginia).

If you have any questions about the Albert Gallatin Project while we build the site or in the future, please visit the Contact page, and a member of the staff will be happy to respond.
