Vocales i/ i:

i semicerrada

anterior corta

labios neutros

entre [i] y [e] españolas

Realizaciones ortográficas:

i > i sit, rich

y city, pity

o women

u busy

e pretty

ey money

ie ladies, sieve

Debes esforzarte en pronunciar una [ i ] corta próxima a [ e ]. si no lo haces, distorsionarás el sonido de muchas palabras semejantes y no te comprenderán.

[ i:] l a r g a

anterior cerrada

labios extendidos

Muy similar a la i de la palabra hilo pero más larga. Hay que pronunciarla tirando mucho del hilo para alargarla. Insistimos sobre la relevancia de la cantidad vocálica para el significado

Realizaciones ortográficas

i: < ea/ee sea, see, meat- muy frecuentes

ie priest, field, thief

ei/ey seize, receive, key

Blowing in the wind

How many roads must a man walk down

Before you can call him a man?

Yes,’n’ how many seas must a white dove sail

Before she sleeps in the sand?

Yes,’n’ how many times must the cannon balls fly

Before they’re for ever banned?

The answer my friend is blowing in the wind

The answer is blowing in the wind

Yes,’n’ how many years must a mountain exist

Before it is washed to the sea?

Yes,’n’ how many years can some people exist

Before they are allowed to be free?

Yes,’n’ how many times can a man turn his head?

And pretend he just doesn’t see?

The answer my friend is blowing in the wind

The answer is blowing in the wind

Yes,’n’ how many times must a man look up

Before he can see the sky?

Yes,’n’ how many ears must one man have

Before he can hear people cry?

Yes,’n’ how many deaths will it take till he knows

That too many people have died?

The answer my friend is blowing in the wind

The answer is blowing in the wind
