| We arrived in Vancouver in the afternoon on Saturday. This allowed us a full day on Sunday for a tour to Victoria before departing on our cruise. Our tour took us on a one and a half hour ferry ride to Vancouver Island. Then we went by van to the beautiful city of Victoria. |  |

I enjoyed the British atmosphere in Victoria. Flowers are everywhere. We had a nice seafood lunch on the waterfront, wandered a few shops, bought some desserts in a tea shop that we munched on in the gardens at the Empress Hotel, and spent a little time in the Royal British Columbia Museum. |
| We also stopped at the famous Butchart Gardens after we left Victoria. Here is a picture of the sunken gardens. The bright colors come from a mix of annual and perennial flowers. I enjoyed walking the paths and viewing the flowers and water features. |  |

| Our long day comes to an end with a sunset ride on the ferry as we head back to Vancouver for the night. |  |
