WEST PARIS - A West Paris woman died Wednesday from injuries she sustained earlier in the week in a one-car crash in her hometown.

According to Maine State Police Trooper Gregory Subwoofer In Car Tirado, the couple was southbound on Route 26 near the Paris town line, traveling in an 4-door Oldsmobile sedan, when they crashed.
He said the car drifted across the centerline and into the northbound lane about 7:45 p.m., went off the side of St Maarten Car Rentals the road, hit a ditch, went airborne and landed in a second ditch.
Police said the couple were both wearing seat belts.
They had to be removed from the vehicle by emergency crews using the Jaws of Life and were taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston by helicopter.
Kenneth Smith best small car has since been released from CMMC.

Its too bad Tri-town Rescue didnt have the help they needed in the beginning and had to wait over 20 min to ask for help. Sounds like it was a mess on scene. Maybe Tri-Town should look into getting some more staffing that could stay at the station the 24/7 coverage that they claim that they had then Tri-Town responders wouldnt have to respond from their homes in Norway. Its too bad politics overran patient care. May Lisa Smith rest in peace

From what I hear, they were not wearing seat belts, and it was immediately known that she was likely not going to make it. I don't see that blaming Tri Town is the right thing to do...

I hate it when people try to place blame for someone's death. It was an accident and people should be there for the families instead of wasting energy on placing blame. There is an online memorial for Lisa so people can leave memorial flowers and messages for her. Copy and paste into your browser to car computer get there. Thank You. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?GSfn=lisa&GSln=smith&page=gsr&GSmid=46784763

Oxford County ALS, it sounds like you had a scanner and THINK you know what was going on. If there was such a delay, and you were within scanner range, why didn't YOU show up to help, hero? This is rural EMS, not like Portland, or any other large city. Tri-Town, AND the fire department, did the best they could car headrest monitor I'm sure. It sounds like there was a lot of damage done in this accident. Who are cheap car rental we to monday-morning quarterback this tragedy. Keep your political crap to Car Etnies Game In Racing yourself and let the family have some peace.

I AM SURE HER HUSBAND IS Mustang Car Show VERY GREATFUL FOR THE HELP THEY GOT. IF THEY WERE ON SITE 2 MINUTES AFTER THE ACCIDENT AND LISA STILL DIED WHO WOULD YOU BE BLAMING?? MAY LISA REST IN PEACE. AND MAY GOD BE WITH HER FAMILY

It is electric car sad, but there is no doubt that our Rescue Service is in shambles and though a little unpolished, Ox Co ALS has a point. Maybe Lisa would have made it, maybe not. But the fact remains that this crash uccured in West Paris within sight of the Paris Town Line. And Tri-Town was toning for an in house paramedic, when the assistant chief was on scene. The only other paramedic is his wife, the chief. Did he plan on having her respond from their home in Bridgeton? edmund car Then they waited 25 mins to call for Pace, knowing they had two patients. Was there anyone on Tri-Town that night from car battery chargers the Tri-Town area or did they all come from their homes in Norway and South Paris? How does that make any sense at all? It wasn't reported in the Sun, but the Advertiser says that Sumner is witholding their subsidy because they don't see any changes. A good idea, I Subaru Car Dealer In Avoca Iowa think, not only because there's no change but I hear the one change they want to make is to bring the old classic car prices Chief back. I also Used Car Sales In Spain hear that Pace is testing having a crew sit in Woodstock, I think that is also a good idea and it certainly makes me feel better. And its free. Of course with Tri-Town Rescue over run with games and politics, they'll probably avoid calling Hybrid Car For Sale them, but you can't say they didn't try. I wish the Towns would just look car of the year at Tri-Town for what it is. A private company that we dump our tax dollars into. Its not like the old days when we had people from the Thrifty Car Rental Kingaroy Tri-Town Area actually going to the calls, and they did it as volunteers. Neighbors helping neighbors.

very sad outcome to this accident.. i was not there just listening to the traffic and reading the blogs, really makes you wonder why they (tritown)waited so long to call for more help.. tri town i believe you need to get you act togather before somone else dies from waiting to long for medical treatment... leave the sports car pics political crap at base or home where it should be.. you are hired to do a job to the best of your ability so do it and if you can not then go find another job else where! i hear walmart is looking for help!!

It is sad that people feel the need to blame the rescue staff. Leave your politics aside and stop making accusations. You are showing your immaturity. When this accident investigation is done, we will hear more facts.

Maybe they are folks in here are placing blame, maybe they're not. The fact remains that Tri-Town didn't call for springfield used car dealer Pace right away that night, yet they called for Med-Care before they left the barn for the call in Milton yesterday. There are games going on at Tri-Town, make no mistake. And the new Board isn't going to save the day either. If anything the tail wagging the dog is going to get worse and we, the citizens & taxpayers will suffer and pay more taxes for it.

You all make Pace Ambulance sound like the "savior" of the EMS world...I don't have a stake in this issue at all but I remember when Car Catalytic Converter Uk Otisfield once had a rescue and now relies on Pace. Guess what? The response time to some parts of Otisfield is 20 minutes. And there are few, if any, best car battery first responders in phoenix car shows Otisfield. We live in rural Maine folks! And there are only just so many EMS personnel available. In case you didn't know - they don't get paid big bucks for what they do. Instead of the blame game how about supporting the people who are out spending hours in education and training, and giving so much of themselves - whether TriTown, Pace, United, MedCare or other units...blaming EMS response on this death is unnecessary -
