That car warranty you purchased may be worthless
Useless policies were sold through dealerships in Bucks, car subwoofer enclosure Lehigh counties.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett on Friday announced the filing of a consumer protection the wraith car lawsuit against Shafiq Hasan of Laguna Hills, Calif., operating as Pro-Guard International.

''Instead, consumers have been left with worthless warranties and empty promises about refunds.''
Pro-Guard also is accused in the lawsuit best car seat of trying to impose additional conditions on consumers to avoid paying refunds, and setting unreasonably short claims deadlines -- as little as 15 days in some the free car cases -- making it difficult for used car prices consumers to comply with the claims process, Corbett said.
The suit, filed in Bucks County Court, seeks restitution, car antenna penalties of up to car pollution $3,000 per violation and a prohibition on Hasan doing business in Pennsylvania until the restitution and fines are paid. Hasan could not be reached for comment.
A spokesman for Corbett advised consumers to check their records to see if they purchased a Pro-Guard contract. Drivers who haven't had to file a claim, he said, could be unaware that they wholesale car parts have one.
Consumers who have Pro-Guard contracts are urged to contact the attorney general's Consumer car design Protection Hotline at 1-800-441-2555, or file an online complaint at http://www.attorneygeneral.gov and highlight the ''complaints'' tab.
