Uncle Ray's Barbecue Sauce is dedicated to making the best sauces in the world. This website was designed for barbecue enthusiasts and food lovers to found out what makes these sauces the best. Uncle Ray's is a family run business and this website reflects our mom and pop and feel, while still taking pride in what we do.
The design of this site was all about making it things as simple as possible for the customer to access to the product. This was a homegrown business and the idea was to continue that feel across to the website. The background was a wood image that was picked for it's rustic almmost outdoor simple feel. Several different fonts and colors where used, but ultimately what was decided on was were ones that were easy to view and read. Corn flower blue and floral white were the colors chosen for the text because of how well they both contrasted each other and the wood brackground. All the pages kept this similar layout and design in order to create a continuity as the customer went page to page.
A customer review page where they can rate the product and provide feedback would be something that should be added to the site. Also with more time a unique logo would be a must to add to the pages to give a more unique feel overall. Also having the order page displayed in different segments would work better overall. Having a section for customer information that would allow to create a log in for potential returning customers that then leads to the billing and shipping sections.
