Ailish competed in the SA
Nationals, coming third, and also represented South Africa in the Africa, Southern
Region Competition, where the team was placed 1st Overall. |

1998 |

In November, she won 1st place overall in the South African National
Championships, |

|
1999 |
|
Ailish took 2nd placing in the SA National Championships, in Cape
Town.
She was awarded her South African
(Protea) Junior Colours, and travelled to Italy in June, competing in both the Como Cup and the
Monte Forte International.
I n November, she travelled with the team to Germany, where
they took 4th placing in the 10th Banfer Berolina Competition. |

2000 |
|
In July, Ailish competed in an International in Centurion,
Pretoria, against a team from
Norway. South Africa won this competition.
In the SA National Championships, she won
Gold on Bars, and 4th overall.
In the Aparatus Finals, she won Silver on
Floor, Silver on Bars and Bronze on Vault
In November,
Ailish competed in the African Championships, as a member of the Senior
South African Team. The competition was won by South Africa, and Ailish
came home with a Team Gold Medel. |

2001 |
|
In
July, Ailish competed in the South African International Cup. The SA
participation team came 2nd. Ailish featured 4th overall against
competitors from Malaysia, Russia and SA. She took Bronze on Beam, with
Russia winning Gold and Silver.
In September, Ailish competed in the SA
Champs.
In October, she competed with the S A Team
in the 35th World Championships, in Ghent, Belgium.
In November, Ailish will compete in the
Leverkusen Cup, in Germany. |
Gymnastics Training
Schedule
Ailish's training schedule is a busy one - five hours per day,
six days a week. She is coached by a highly professional
team of coaches, led by Nikki Stubbs.
Ailish's Aspirations
Ailish has her sights firmly set on representing her country
in the worlds major Gymnastics competitions, including
both the World Championships, and the Commonwealth Games, and
is confident that the long hours of training
and her total commitment to a highly disciplined and strenuous
training program will take her to achieving her goals.
Who knows !!. Maybe an Olympic Medal.
