A little about me...

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
With an artist mother and a Broadway show conductor, pianist, composer father, I grew up with a love and respect for the arts of all kinds.
On my first trip abroad with my father, I studied at the Cordon Bleu School in Paris which drew me into the culinary world where I was fortunate to have become a pastry chef working with some of the top chefs in Los Angeles. For me, each plated dessert felt like a little artist canvas.
In the spring of 2001, I moved to Manhattan, New York to expand my culinary career.
On September 11, 2001, I was living in the lower East side.
I heard the planes hit the World Trade Center and, in that moment, my life was forever changed. My train jumped the culinary track.
When the planes started flying again, I returned to Los Angeles and to college with a renewed sense of purpose. I began studying Art Education desirous of becoming an art teacher.
Three years later, I met my husband and we started our family moving from Los Angeles to the Sonoma County in 2010.
As with my pastries, my artistic work has been one of searching. Last year, I began practicing meditation which drew me toward the Mandala. I draw them all by hand and then transfer and paint them on canvas. I have found this celebration of Mandalas to be a wonderful and calming expression for me as an artist.
I hope you enjoy them.
Love and light.
Namaste
