Dick Grayson

Richard John "Dick" Grayson was born into a family of acrobats called the "Flying Graysons". Much like Bruce Wayne, Dick watched as his parents were killed by mob boss, Tony Zucco, in order to extort money from the circus that employed the family. Dick is forced into an orphanage where Bruce Wayne adpots him; first as his ward and then as his son. After finding out that Bruce Wayne was Batman, he became Batman's first sidekick, Robin. As an adult, he took up the identity of Nightwing and served as protector of Bludhaven, Gotham's sister city to the south. During an extended absence of Bruce's, Dick temporarily served as Batman.
