[77] [The next few letters are boring attempts to get the lad to continue the scam. They finally replied on 28 July but not as Richmond Graham. I believe that the original scammer passed the scam on to someone else in his organisation, even adding a South African to the deal.]

Dear Barrister Graham,
If you are willing to give this thing one more try then I am willing too. I don't think that we should deal with the Indemnity Bonds people anymore because I received some more harassing mails from them. One of them was signed "Aji otu nne gi." [Igbo for "your mother's pussy hair"] I don't know for sure but I think it is some kind of Ibo insult. Maybe Mr. Duncan's account has been hacked.
Let me know how to proceed. Let us hope that we can get this done without any more problems. I talked to my contact in Washington about the Afghan Children's Fund donation and they have a record of a 100 Naira donation on 31 May from a Mr. Richard Graham. Perhaps this is yours? If it is then I am satisfied that you are trustworthy and I will see about sending your fee to you by DHL or some other means.
yours sincerely,
