At school (Thomas
Carr College), I am doing Visual Communication Design.
In semester 1 for my unit 3 folio, my 'client' was a night
club called 'The Underworld' that needed all their design
work made. In semester 2 for my unit 4 folio, I decided to
do 'Ageah Skateboarding' where I designed a T-shirt and Video
Cover. The following is parts of these works.

This is the logo in which I designed for the
client. For the main text, I used a font called 'Phino'. For
the globe, I used various tools in Photoshop to create it. All
it is, is a basic ellipse shape with various fills, blurs, shapes
and other effects added into it. |

| |
|
I decided that I would use a template for each
page for presentation
for my entire folio. Here is the
template that I designed. |

I think that this piece of my folio turned out the best. This
is part of the advertising section of the folio where I designed
the night club flyer. It advertises a particular event held
at Underworld. |

This is the 'company car'. Originally,
the idea was to use a Volkswagen Beetle with nothing on it.
However I then decided to digitally enhance it with the Underworld
logo and the manipulated subway image. |

This is the corporate logo for
'Ageah Skateboarding'. I first found a suitable skateboarder
image where I subtracting the foreground object from the background
and filled it, creating a symbol which was used as the hierarchic
for the whole product. I then added the text and cropped part
of it also. |

Before going ahead with designing
the video cover for 'Ageah Skateboarding' I decided that I would
need a main image for the front cover. I found the perfect image
in a magazine, however I thought that I would add more to it
by manipulating the T-shirt to suit the T-shirt that I designed
for my other final piece. So I did just that. In producing it,
I used tools such as the lasso tool, burn tool, colour tools
and transform tools. |

This is the final outcome for the
video cover which was presented in a 3D presentation with the
video covers actually being put together making it feel realistic.
As you can see, it consists of the logo, the above manipulated
image and other various objects. |
