Summer News

NOTTINGHAM COMMUNITY SPIRIT AWARD SCHEME

We are very pleased to announce that we have now purchased all the Social Skills games and equipment with the money from the Nottingham Building Society Community Spirit Award Scheme. Some of this equipment has already been in use and has proved very successful with the children. We have lots of games for the children to play which help to improve their Social Skills and Understanding. We also have games which encourage social interaction and turn-taking amongst other skills !!
We hope you will come and see us soon !!

January/ February News

NEXT SUPPORT GROUP MEETING

The next support group meeting shall be held on
Sunday 5th February 2006 at the Conoco Rooms, Above Louth Library, Louth, Lincolnshire at 5.30 - 8 pm.
Refreshments and raffle as usual!!

NAS REGISTRATION CONSIDERATION

The committee has decided to defer the decision again about whether to join the NAS until later in the year when they will decide whether to apply to be a NAS branch or not.  We shall of course keep you updated as to what the committee decide.

NOTTINGHAM  COMMUNITY SPIRIT AWARD SCHEME

The group has applied to the Nottingham Building Society Community Spirit Award Scheme for a grant to purchase equipment for the children to promote Social Skills and we shall update you once we know whether we have been successful.

 

November/December News

NEXT SUPPORT GROUP MEETING

The next support group meeting shall be held on
Wednesday 23rd November at the Conoco Rooms, Above Louth Library, Louth, Lincolnshire at 7 - 9 pm.
Refreshments and raffle as usual!!

CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PARTY

We have almost raised the target amount for the Children's Christmas Party thanks to Caught Being Good and our volunteer collectors we have managed to raise £290 from Caught Being Good and another £100 from collecting locally. The Christmas Party Shall be held on 11th December at the Conoco Rooms 6 - 8 pm. (See Group Events for more information)

October News

NAS REGISTRATION CONSIDERATION

The Group is considering registering with the National Autistic Society we shall update you how this is progressing as soon as we have discussed this thoroughly at the committee meeting.  The other option open to us to remain as we are and to register in our own right as a charity. Any members views will be considered alongside our own.

CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PARTY

We are currently fundraising for the Children's Christmas Party and any donations would be appreciated. We hope to hold a Christmas Raffle too so any donations of items would be appreciated too !

SUPERMARKET COLLECTION

We have managed to collect £57.76 from a collection at the supermarket which has boosted our funds which is fantastic.
