RECOMMENDATIONS FROM OUR CLIENTS...
======================================================================================
This is not a Section we were expecting to be able to put up onto our Website, scarcely two months after launching, but we're very pleased and proud to be able to present the first of what we dearly hope will be lots of Recommendations from our Clients. Please feel free to read:
Mr. Ronald Burdess of Darenth Park Estate, Dartford:
Dear Absolutely Broken Computer?

I am writing to tell you of the progress I have made in getting my P.C. back to health thanks to your telephone advice.

If you remember, I couldn't get Windows to load nor would the P.C. read the rescue disk, and you suggested I go back to basics and start disconnecting units. I did this and took the opportunity to clean the drives, etc. I removed the two RAM SIMMS and found that one of them had a load of powdery dust which was across the contacts of the chips and edge connectors. I cleaned this up and replaced them. On switching on I found that Windows loaded but once loaded it was painfully slow. I then partitioned the disk using Partition Magic and installed the X.P. Operating System on the D: Drive. I thus had the choice of two X.P. Operating Systems; C: running exceedingly slowly, and D: running at normal speed.

I deduced from this that there must be something amiss with the front end of the Hard Disk Drive, so I quarantined the first 10Gb of this using Partition Magic and re-installed/merged the O.S. on the C: Parition.

Since carrying out this operation and adding all my original Software the Computer has been behaving normally again.

I hope this is of interest to you and I would like to thank you once again for the advice you gave me. I shall definitely bear
Absolutely Broken Computer? in mind for future purchases of equipment, recommendations, and any work I possibly may need in the future.

Many thanks and best regards,

Roland Burdess.
