Anthony of Padua

Brother, Priest, Saint, Doctor of the Church
(1191 - 1231)

Traditionally, 1195 has been accepted, although unknown, as the year of the Saint's birth. In 1981, tests performed on his remains indicated that he was about 39 years and 9 months at the time of his death in 1231, which places his birth in the year 1191. 1
