Welcome to Ms. Biuso's Physical Education Class
My name is Amanda Biuso and I am currently a student at Elon University in North Carolina. I am double majoring in Physical and Health Education, and am looking forward to becoming a Physical Education teacher in the near future. I chose to major in Physical and Health Education because it is very important to me, and I believe it is a subject that is overlooked by many. I hope to change that oversight that Physical Education is not important, and help my students realize physical activity should become a part of their lives.
Physical activity is vital for everyone's life. In a society where everyone is very busy, it is important to learn how to take care of ourselves and stay healthy. I enjoy Physical Education because I can teach students not only the importance of remaining active, but also how to remain healthy. It has also been proven that Physical Education helps students develop physically, mentally, morally, socially, and even intellectually, so I feel it is very important to make the most out of the time with the students during Physical Education class. During the time in class, my students will partake in many different activities that will help them learn not only the skills and rules of the activity, but also how to cooperate, communicate, and work well as a team.
