A Rubik's Mini Cube is nothing more than a Rubik's Cube, stripped of its edges and center pieces. All that remains are the 8 corners. So; in order to solve the Mini Cube, use the same moves used to solve the Top Corners and Bottom Corners of the Rubik's Cube or Rubik's Revenge.
Easier? Maybe. Sure, you only have to solve 8 corners in this puzzle; as opposed to the additional 12 edges in Rubik's Cube, or the additional 24 edges and 24 center pieces that are counted in Rubik's Revenge. But one thing does make this puzzle tricky: HALF of it becomes scrambled by making a single move!
