| I am currently engaged as a lecturer at Department of Physics, Institute of Technology 10 November (ITS), Surabaya, Indonesia. I finished my PhD at the Department of Applied Physics, Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Western Australia on July 2003. My current research activities include conducting research with my students on 'Synthesis of NanoCeramic Composites using Wet Mixing Method'. My research interest includes applied crystallography, material science, and computation/modelling. Focus of PhD study was on the evaluation of strain-size assessment methods with x-ray, neutron and x-ray synchrotron radiation data. I investigated the strain-size characters from the diffraction broadening of MgO, Al2O3 and TiO2 ceramics which have been sintered to show systematic development of strain and size. I developed MOZAIX, a computer program for line-profile analysis associated with non-linear strain-size evaluations. The novel model used in the program was derived from the mean-field theory of normal grain-growth. I also presented a paper 'X-ray Diffraction Analysis' (bahasa Indonesia version) on the workshop of the event. |
