Sometimes life seems without purpose or direction,  along the route a wrong turn has been taken or a decision made in haste has led to a dry place, a desert where the soul almost faints for just one sip of the water of life.   Days seem long and without fruition.  In desperation the wanderer cries out that  he or she has lost their way.

Friend, I have lost the way.
The way leads on.
Is there another way?
The way is one.
I must retrace the track
It's lost and gone.
Back, I must travel back!
None goes there, none.
Then I'll make here my place,
(The road runs on),
Stand still and set my face,
(The road leaps on),
Stay here, for ever stay.
None stays here,  none.
i canot find theway.
The way leads on.
Oh places I have passed!
That journey's dine.
And what will come at last?
The way leads on.

Unable to go back, life unfolds before our eyes,  like the lilies in the picture above.  Who could imagine that the green lily buds could contain such a beautiful promise.  The unfolding lily with it's luxurious blooms and delicious fragrance make the wait but a moment in time.  Those who watch will savour the fulfillment of His promise  -  ' all things work together for good, for them that love Him'.  Our times are in His hand.

'I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine; he feedeth me among the lilies'.  Looking into the lilies we see His handiwork and His love towards us.  Hands that dare to caress the blooms become stained with  pollen - sprinkled with gold dust as though by magic
