| Earth's
crammed with heaven, And every common bush afire with God: But only he who sees takes off his shoes . . . 'Aurora Leigh' - Elizabeth Barrett Browning

| Walking
this October in Riva - Lago di Garda, I came across this
beautiful leaf. At once I thought of Jacob and he so moved
by the love of his son gave him a gift; a beautiful
coat of many colours. Then I thought how God had much
more clothed the trees. The whole of creation was screaming out His Glory for any who wish to take the time
to look.
How often have
I forsaken rainbows seeing only rain and puddles on the
ground. Many treasures have escaped me and I have been the
loser because I have not been receptive to what has been freely
given. His thumprint is imprinted on each face we meet, each animal we see. The heavens His canvas where the stars dance across the skies. The rainbow His paintbox; every colour imaginable He uses to clothe the landscape. But only the lover will see the hand of the beloved laying a feast out for the soul. 'He
welcomes me into His banqueting table and His banner over me is
love' |
