Kyle Balda is an excellent film maker bringing us films like The famous Rise of Gru, Despicible Me series, Minions and Lorax. For the past 30 years, Kyle Balda has been a film animation director nominated for a BAFTA, most notably with Illumination Entertainment and Pixar Animation Studios. He started his career in the early 1990s after attending Calarts, joining the team at Industrial Light and Magic where he animated on movies including The Mask, Mars Attacks!, and Jumanji as the animator in charge. Kyle returned to California to work at Pixar on A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc., and Toy Story 2 as the film's director animator after animating the Grim Reaper for Peter Jackson's The Frighteners at Weta Digital in New Zealand.
