Story Time!
As a small child, I always loved story time, sitting around teacher cross-legged in a half-circle (except for Jeremy, who was always being 'class clown' or otherwise the bad kid), and be read to.  All the classics of modern literature, from Run, Dan, Run! to The Giver, Maniac Magee, etc. etc. - Enough reminiscing, the point is, eventually that carried over into me always reading novels in class behind the textbooks that we were supposed to be reading.  Terribly impressing everyone, and terribly annoying the teacher, who never figured out how I did so well in classes..

Until High School and College of course, where I realized I could write stories, poems, novels, etc. etc. out in the place of taking notes, with nobody the wiser.  Granted, grades suffered, but it brings you these wonderful examples of Mike's Dedicated Literature!
