Sam the Butcher is a band from Monticello, Indiana, the hometown of Indiana Beach, which was a dominant influence in their formation. The dodgy influences of the summer playland on the local community come to topic in many tracks (in a vague, STB-ish way).
Sam the Butcher has seen some rocky times as of late. With the disappearance of Shayne, the band tentatively broke up, forming Killian with guitarist Chris Stearns, then, soon after, Daryl Hunt. However, a revolving-door policy somehow manifested itself with every potential Killian singer, and the band went into sabbatical.
However, as each member goes his separate way, Sam the Butcher will not go silently into the night. Curt continues to jam, while scheming some reincarnation of band, be it known as Sam the Butcher, Killian, or CNB.
