Hey, who hasn't thought of a live action Evangelion! The Gang of Four has had many a spirited debate over who would be the best to play the parts. Munihausen wants age approperate actors and actresses. Avalon says that Munihausen is a pervert. I say that the cast of the Lost in Space movie is a good idea, and Four says that style and acting is what's important.

So, after a lengthy staff meeting (laced with caffeine and Cheeto-s), we decided to pick the best actor or actress that matches the mood of the character, instead of just picking human s with anime looks. Plus, star power is never a bad thing!

Shinji Ikari. Hands down, this kid has it rough. Estranged from his Dad, Mom's dead, seen as the ultimate weapon but too sensitive to not feel the guilt. This is a messed up, self-pitying, whiney, horny young man.

We think that Scott Wolf (Party of Five) would be the best choice for Shinji (Need an Amercanized name ? Try Shawn Icarus for those of you who would have a hard time believing that Scott was Japanese). He has shown that he can play sad and morose (The whole " I'm a pathetic orphaned alcaholic with more women then I can choose from and looks to spare" thing) as well as angry ( The whole "My family thinks I'm an idiot cause I've screwed up before" thing).
