Various Yamato First-Series Designs

Here's a look at a few animation groups' influence on the first Yamato series. The above chart is from pages 300-301 of the 宇宙戦艦ヤマト大百科 31Uchuu Senkan Yamato Daihyakka 31, first published by Keibunsha in January 1979.

The columns show Kodai, Yuki and Domeru, from right to left:

as drawn in the original character animation design;
as drawn by Studio Mates, which animated episodes 5, 9, 13, 20 and 24;
as drawn by Anime Room, which animated episodes 19 and 25;
as drawn by Three Nights (Knights?), which animated episode 21;
as drawn by Office Academy, which animated episodes 1, 3, 7, 8, 11, 14, 18 and 23; and
as drawn by Tiger Pro, which animated episodes 6, 10, 12, 15, 17, 22 and 26.
