Sunday

The Journey to Dinner After our showers, it was already close to 8pm (If memory is right :)). After some serious discussion on the serious topic of where to go for dinner, we decided against eating the instant noodles we bought- and went out to eat. But first we have to figure out how to get there.

Going out to the main road again (the third time that day), we asked the Indian ma-ma storeowner how to get to McCalister Road. I think just this moment another Indian pulled up alongside the stall in his scooter. The ma-ma storeowner asked the scooterist (!), who, after looking at us, took it a better idea for us to take a taxi there instead. Take a taxi, erm... difficult to get one... was what we thought. No problem, I'll go to Onestop to get one to come pick you guys up, the scooterist volunteered. We waited at the ma-ma store for a while. After waiting for not-a- short-period-of-time, we spotted the appropiate public bus about to come our way. Maybe, the man couldn't get a taxi to come, we thought.

We then ran crazily across the road to stop the bus, and then boarded it.

The bus-rides we had were quite pleasant (unless it was crowded)- not only because it was air-conditioned mostly, but also because the bus-driver and conductor were quite friendly- they were patient with our enquiries eg. "Eh... Uncle... this bus got go to (insert place-name) or not, hah?" (translated from Chinese, of course)).
