The Journey There- Saturday

But we did eventually find and reach the train station just on time... only to discover that the train would be a little late (about 20 minutes). We made good use of that time to gain some relief from buying drinks and browsing at the ma-ma store there (some of us bought a couple of phone-cards).

Tea-time on the train to Penang

The train ride finally took off... at a leisurely pace. We all settled down to sit out this 12-hour train ride (from 9 in the morning to 9-something at night at Butterworth train station). What did we do on the train?- take pictures, listen to music (Xinhao and Yaoshan), read (Yifang, Yingyi and sometimes Xinhao) and watch the in-house movie/documentary (myself). (Hmm... I remember that they were showing something about treasure-seeking in the Egyptian crypts or something...)
A few words on the train ride
-
Actually, we had more than just a few words. We did talk excitedly, and chatted. Of course, after the train-riding fatigue or just plain not-being-able-to-move-around fatigue got to us, we turned back to quietly reading, watching TV and sleeping ("Huh... are we there yet? Wah piang, still so long to go..." is a typical wake-up proclamation).
