FREDDIE's LETTER

I meant to reply earlier but got caught up in all my silly problems (you know what it's like).
By the way Wreckage are going stronger than ever.
Miffer's not with us anymore 'cause the bastard just up and left one morning saying he was going to be a milkman back in Widnes. (He meant it too.). He also had a job starting at Harrods with me, but he turned it down. We all thought it better he got the boot anyway so now we've got Richard at short notice as our first booking billed as Wreckage is on the Friday 31st at Ealing College. Mike came down today for a 5 hour live marathon practice, after I paid for his fare down here and back (�5). Don't tell him I told you so, but I've got to do it to keep the group together. Everybody else thinks I'm downright mad for doing it. I'll have to scrounge off someone else (I've done it before). The practice was really great. Richard collapsed half way through and I've really gone and lost my voice (no kidding). It hurts just to breathe. Hope I'm O.K. for this Friday 'cause I'm going to out-ponce everyone in sight (it shall be easy). By the way our bookings so far are:
Friday 31st Ealing College
Wed. 5th Imperial College
Thur. 14th Liverpool (possibility)

Sometime in November (possibilities)
1. Cornwall with Smile
2. College of St. Mark and St. John
3. Ealing College (again)
4. Futham(?) Hall (with Smile/Eyesoft Blue)

So you see we can't really complain at the moment, but there might be some cancellations. I'm working at Harrods and it's only to pay the rent which is 5 (gus?) weekly. The flat is really nice and hope to see you down here at Christmas. Roger and I go poncing and ultrablagging just about everywhere and lately we're being termed as a couple of queens. Which reminds me that Miffer, the sod, went and told everybody down here that I had seriously turned into a fully fledged queer. Just heard Zeppelin II LP and it's a knockout. Saw them at the Lyceum and they were really great. We've written a few new numbers:
1) Green, 2) Without you, 3) Blag-A-Blues, 4) Cancer on my Mind (originally called Priestess).
