Adam Duritz of Counting Crows has a journal page up now. He writes about the same everyday things that I do but he makes it sound interesting. Why do I always start getting into surfing the web at bedtime? I really wear myself out like this and still havent been to the CCNG since I got back in.
Counting Crows' new album, Hard Candy, will be released July 9. They will appear on David Letterman on the 11th and Good Morning America on the 12th. Yahoo!
You may have seen them on the new Coke ommercial...They came with the Coke. Since I first saw their "Mr. Jones" video in 1992 or 1994, something has drawn me to Counting Crows. Eight to ten years of groupie-dom is quite a long time...especially for a 30 something mother of two. It's all in the lyrics...the poetry of my inner life.
I've come a long way towards breaking away from groupie mode. Family and work fill my time now and CC aren't always playing in the background as they were a few years ago. But it still seems that I can relate almost every CC song to something I am going through at any given moment. Their music has definitely touched me in a much deeper way than infatuation.
