The portal.
Cool!
You step through the shimmering portal, after Alan gives you an encouraging nod and smile. As you enter the portal, your body tingles all over, a most interesting sensation, and you find yourself in the maiden's room.
"Eeek!," she says, "It's annoying when he does that. Well, this can mean only one thing. He's given you permission to hear my story." You nod in confirmation, and she continues: "About 3 years ago, my father and mother died in a horrible accident. The townsfolk in the town I lived in now thought I was bad luck, and I had no living relatives, so I became a wanderer, not much differnt than yourself. I wandered all about the world, never finding a place I felt I could call home. Then I came to this realm. After passing the guardpost, and exploring the castle, I came to the conclusion that this is where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. So I talked to Alan about it, and told him my story, and he agreed. He asked me where I wanted to live, and I told him I would like to live alone, in a room in the tower. He tried to persuade me otherwise, but I didn't feel comfortable living in the main quarters with all the other inhabitants of the castle (mostly guards), and since it turned out that Alan and I are related through a distant cousin, which I knew beforehand and told him immediatly, he reluctantly allowed me to live here, in the tower, all alone, except when he comes to visit me, or when visitors come. You are not the first to simply walk into my room without knocking, but you are the only one who has apologized so well. Thank you again. I need to get some more beauty rest." You think she is pretty enough without the beauty rest, but, also think it is wise not to contradict her. You thank her, and she goes into her bed-chambers once again.
The portal is still behind you, and you re-enter it.
"Any more questions?," Alan asks as you re-appear in his throne room. There are still the
battle scenes that you saw on the way in here.
Thou mayest leave a message here which will get to the lord
of this realm, via
e-mail.
You get an odd thought as you stand here: "This is all somehow related to
or provided by Geocities."
