identity:

The identity of these groups is based on a very simple principle. Its members thought it necessary to opt for sound clearness, timbre richness and harmonic completeness. Different melodic resources are being explored through the approach to original arrangements of compositions drawn from a wide range of popular and jazz references. The group’s work aims at constantly reviewing and refining arrangements and improvisational criteria, by placing emphasis on a relaxed and minimal approach to the sound organization, as well as by searching for a dynamic balance between the harmonic tension and relaxation existing in today’s musical languages. The process is made possible by means of an instrumental role exchange, designed to create a rotation dynamic effect assigning different spaces to each instrument in the performance. The process is being developed in small separate units influenced now by thematic references, now by tonal relationships, as well as by the alternate succession of written and improvised sections.
The players join their stylistic personal vision and their creative sensitivity with collective contribution in the characteristic research about focus of dynamic balance, among rhythmic and harmonic tension and relaxation along today's musical language reflecting relationship among past/tradition, present/interpretation, future/innovation.
