Five O's

This is originally a paper and pencil game, popular among college students in Java who sit at the back of the class during boring lectures. But here, your opponent is the-all-very-careful computer. So, make your moves carefully too!

You and the computer take turns making moves. You make your moves by placing an in any blank cell you want. The computer will play . Your objective is to place 5 's in a stretch, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. You get one point every time you can make it. But watch out, the computer is determined to block your every move and makes its own 5 's!

The game is over when either you or the computer can make 6 points, or no more points can be made in the remaining blank cells.

How to Play
  • Click on any blank cell to put an there.

  • After one game is over, click "Start a new game" at the bottom of the applet.

  • Click the "Computer moves first" to let the computer make the first move in a new game. It will take effect in the next game, i.e. after the next time you click "Start a new game".
