The Flash, Central City forensic chemist
Barry Allen is the recipient of the Flash's powers in this incarnation of the story.
Barry's choice to pursue the scientific end of police work puts him at odds with his
father, a tough-as-nails retired street cop and invites unwanted comparisons to his adored
older brother, Jay, who followed in their father's footsteps and became a motorcycle cop.
Tragically, it is the murder of Jay by biker thugs that initially motivates Barry to use
his newfound powers as a weapon against crime. The downside of engaging in super speed
activities is an accelerated metabolism, leaving Barry severely fatigued if he uses his
powers too long. So, while he heals quickly, he also becomes depleted quickly. |

The Honeymooners, there were only 39
episodes of this classic comedy being re-run. These "classic" episodes were the
only ones that were syndicated for over one quarter of a century. In actuality, there were
many episodes that were filmed - some too short or too long to syndicate into a half hour
or one hour series. Much of the early material had been lost, but in 1986 were
"found" in Jackie Gleason's basement. There were also some sketches that were
done live, but never filmed. These, unfortunately, are lost forever.
