First of all, so that you know, Shyrrokar is a 3D online RPG, in much the manner of EverQuest and Asheron's Call, among others.
Characters will be greatly customizable. For humanoid races, you will be able to select from different facial aspects, hair, eyes, nose, head-shape, skintone, etc. While, when you become a non-humanoid race, some of those previous selections, eyes, head-shape, etc, cross over into the other races, while you are then given options for such things as skin covering, patterning, color, etc.
Or you might be given those options when you start out. I'm not sure yet. What I do know is that your selections cross over into the other races, and once you pick an option, you're stuck with it, for the rest of your character's life. With an exception or two. But I'll leave that to you.
There will be a lot of different forms of transportation, walking, running, galloping, horseback riding, swimming, flying.
I've been thinking that a joystick would be the best way to control the game, but I've been told that it wouldn't be a good idea, as this would cause a lot of people to not play the game. I don't understand this! From what I know, all you'd need is a simple 2-button joystick. Is $10 for a cheap joystick enough to make you not play? Let me know, as a sort-of poll. I'll post the results here as I get them.
