Classification of Lemur Species

There are over thirty species of Lemur and they fall into five families, but we shall group the first two, Microbus (the Mouse Lemurs) and Cheirogaleus (the Dwarf Lemurs) into the same page. Other families are Lemur ("true" Lemurs) which includes the well-known Ringtailed Lemur, the Ruffed Lemur and other quadrepedal species, Indri which includes the Indri and Sifaka, Lemurs that have very long legs and have to move by leaping because they cannot walk on all fours and Daubenotia a family containing only the Aye-aye, a most bizarre beast indeed!
