Well! It ALL started out when Genma Saotome, Ranma's father, took Ranma on a training trip in China to a place called the Cursed Springs of Jusenkyo. Ranma fell into the spring of the drowned girl, and Genma fell into the spring of the drowned panda, which means whenever one of them touches cold water, they turn into those forms, but the curse is undone with warm water, but only until the cursed one is touched with cold water again.
Then, Genma (Ranma's father) decided with his childhood friend, Soun Tendo, that Ranma should marry one of his daughters so that their Dojo, (The Tendo and Saotome School of Anything Goes Martial Arts) can be given to a couple that can carry on the Tendo/Saotome ownership of the School. Soun's daughters, Kasumi the eldest and Nabiki the money-hungry middle child decided Akane would be the best choice since she hates boys, and Ranma is half girl. Akane also was chosen becuase she does martial arts as well. Ranma and Akane go through tons and tons of problems as time goes on, before they realize they really are in love. Many adventures come along the way... And this just happens to be the best anime in the world!!! ^_^ Well thats my opinion ^^;;; |
