| Ranma Saotome- Ranma (16) turns into a girl with the touch of cold water. He does this becuase he fell in the Spring of the Drowned Girl, while on a training trip to the Cursed Springs of Jusenkyo. He is engadged to Akane becuase his father, Genma and Soun, Akane's father said so. He is very skilled in martial arts. He often acts very stubborn, and although he loves Akane, he is TOO stubborn to show it. |
| Akane Tendo- Akane (16) is Ranma's skilled in martial arts finacee. She is also very stubborn and is the daughter of Soun Tendo. She goes to school at Furinkan High a well as Ranma. She can't cook to save her life! |

| Genma Saotome- Genma is Ranma's crazy father. He enjoys stealing Ranma's food, and eating Kasumi's meals. When touched with cold water, he turns into a panda becuase when he was on this training trip at this place called the Cursed Springs, and he fell in the spring of the drowned panda, which is a Jusenkyo curse. He likes to be tough on Ranma. Also, Soun Tendo and him have been good friends since childhood. Soun and Genma decided that Ranma and one of Soun's daughters should marry, so that their shared dojo (The Tendo and Saotome House of Anything-Goes Martial Arts Training Center) could be carried on by someone else. Souns daughters decided Akane should be the best choice. |
| Soun Tendo- Soun Tendo is the father of Akane, Nabiki and Kasumi. He is often very scary and pushy. He worries a lot about his daughters too. He and Genma were trained by Happosai. |
| Nabiki Tendo- Nabiki is 17, and she LOVES money. Most of the time, she is making unfair deals with people to get yen. Although many people say Tatewaki Kuno and her should make a good couple they truly DO detest eachother. ^_^ She also attends the same school as Ranma and Akane. |
| Kasumi Tendo- Kasumi is the eldest daughter of Soun (18) and she is basically the mother. She does the house work, and is unfortunatly taken for granteed by her family. She is very kind hearted and is in love with Dr. Tofu. |
| Tatewaki Kuno- Kuno is a very self-absorbed, women-obsessed young man who thinks he can best anyone in combat. He absolutly loves Akane and "the pig-tailed girl" who is really Ranma as a female, which he never seems to figure out. He is Kodachi's brother, and the son of Principal Kuno. |
| Kodachi Kuno- Kodachi is Tatewaki's sister, who is quite the delinquent. She loves Ranma, and usually does mean things to get to him. She hates Shampoo, Ukyou, and Akane becuase they all love Ranma too. She is the daughter of Principal Kuno. She was also bested by Ranko (female Ranma) in an anything goes martial art gymnastics competition. |
| Shampoo- Shampoo is an Amazon women, who lived in China. While Ranma was on his training trip with Genma, around the Cursed Springs of Jusenkyo, they stumbled accross a Chinease Amazon village. A cute lady was in the middle of a sparring event, and Ranma sees a big feast. Genma and Ranma eat it. Unknowingly, they had eaten Shampoo's first prize for winning the sparring event. Shampoos challenges Ranko to a battle, Ranko wins, so she gives her the kiss of death, which means Shampoo must kill her. Ranko and Genma-panda go home, Shampoo follows, she sees Ranma, falls in love, realizes Ranma is Ranko, and does everything in her power to make Ranma love her. Mousse, one of her childhood friends, is also madly in love with Shampoo. Shampoo has also brought her grandma, Cologne, to Japan to stay with her also. Lin Lin and Ran Ran (her fellow Amazons) come to see if Shampooo had killed Ranko yet, and she didnt, so Lin Lin and Ran Ran fight Shampoo, and guess who wins? |
| Dr. Tofu- Dr. Tofu owns a little medical center downtown from the Tendo household, and Akane and Ranma visit often becuase of there fights. Dr. Tofu is madly in love with Kasumi. Whenever he sees her, he goes crazy! Kasumi says she loves him too, in one of the songs. Akane once had a crush on Dr. Tofu too. |
