Visit all the web sites listed in "Resources"
and take notes;
Each member collects a few real road crash
examples from parents, friends, relatives, or your own experience if you
have been driving (if you have any difficulty collecting real examples,
please talk to your teacher as soon as possible);
Share your examples within your group and
choose three from them;
Analyze the three examples and identify
the major causes, for example, drinking and driving, speeding, aggression
on the road, etc.
Form your strategies corresponding to each
case;
Assign tasks and plan your project;
Design your demonstration using MS Power
Point, Macromedia Flash or Apple iMovie;
Demonstrate your scenes and present your
analysis and strategies as a group;
Be prepared to be challenged and to challenge
others.
Notes:
You may choose to made video clips instead
of computer program. You may use model cars, LEGO pieces, or signs to construct
road crash scenes.
Use city map as the source for demonstration
purpose (Hint: what you need is only an intersection, etc. However, you
do need to use real street or road names ).
Mark important positions in your scenes
with letters, i.e. "A", "B", "C", "D",...
and use them for explanations.
