Social conventions of game playing : turn-taking, rules, being a "good" loser
Reading and following instructions
YOU WILL NEED: printout of game board (laminating will add to the durability of the board)
Die (numbers or dots) and counters
RULES OF PLAY :
Players each need a different colour counter.
Throw die and move along the appropriate number of squares
If a counter lands on a square with the bottom of a ladder on it, the counter moves to the top of that ladder; similarly, if a counter lands on a snake's head, the counter slides down to its tail.
Read and follow all instructions on the board.
First player to reach the finish is the winner; you can decide whether or not the players have to throw the exact number needed to land on the finish square.
