In 2003, Mr. Franzen took part in M'history (pronounced 'mystery') Night at Ann Arbor's Northside Elementary School. The participants dressed as historical characters and gave clues to the children, who tried to guess who the character was. His character was John Allen, one of the founders of the village of Ann Arbor. He wrote three songs for the occasion. (Going To Ann Arbor, Mr. Rose, the Postman, and The Old Chicago Road.) |
