1. Sports Card - Insiders' Information Hotline
In this area, one of the key features will be
the PCN REPORTS newletters.
In addition, we will have other hobby features here on a weekly basis,
which will be information, ideas, commentary, editorials, etc
which will only be available here. Some of the ideas will
be money making ideas. Some will be important collecting fundamentals,
key to building a sound long term collection. Some will be hobby
trends, & food for thought.
All in all, the objective is to assure all collectors that this
informational site is a REGULAR must read!
Lastly, we will be offering awards & prizes, via a number of
different ways, utilizing the information presented here.

PCN Reports is a newsletter format publication, formerly started
in October 1993 under the title
"The Sportscard Investment Newsletter For Collectors" ...
In late 1995, we revised the format & expanded coverage,
and retitled it
"Promo Card News"
Because the newsletter covers an awful lot more than promo cards,
in late 1996, we renamed the newsletter as
"PCN REPORTS"
What originally started out as a one page informational piece,
which was sent out to our regular mailing list customers, has now
evolved into a hefty 28 page professionally done newsletter,
with black & white graphics.
PCN is targeted to fill a variety of informational needs of dealers
& collectors in the current hobby environment. PCN is intended
"first & foremost" to be informative, educational & should provide
additional awareness of various issues & products in the hobby.
PCN is NOT intended to be primarily a price guide, and any & all
pricing (or market valuations) within PCN are offered as guidelines
only. Market values & pricing are constantly in flux, and it is
important for the collector to understand the dynamic fundamentals
which are the cause of all increases & decreases in values & pricing.
Much of the material published in PCN will be information & research
results NOT published elsewhere in the hobby press, in any form.
Thusfar, PCN readers, which include dealers and collectors have
generally been encouraging & favorable, and we occassionally will
publish some of their comments. In addition, we believe PCN issues
will serve readers & the overall hobby, very well as a long term
informational reference, and worthy of inclusion in your resource
library. When we edit PCN, our target is to make PCN's content
"timeless"! When the next issue comes out, that new issue does
not render the old issue obsolete. Rather, you will find that
PCN's contents are cumulative, and more often than not, contents
in an issue will not be reiterated over & over again in future
issues, unless there is news of significance, or PCN publishes a
massive checklist update. (in other words, you WILL want to have
& read each AND every issue!

Who is Tom LEON ???

Tom Leon has been involved in all aspects of collecting & dealing
since 1964. Whether it is sports cards, coins, stamps, plates,
watches, gold & silver, paper collectibles, photographs, electronics,
records, cameras, or crystal, we have always strived to reach for
excellence & knowledge for the collector. We have dealt in
everyday less expensive items, as well as items running into
five & six figures! We have dealt with low grade items,
as well as primo items. We have dealt with bulk commons as
well as true rarities. we have dealt with modern items, as
well as real classics. We have been through a number of hobby
cycles, through good times & bad times.
At the same time, we have also stressed the business side of
collecting. Collecting requires good common sense ... keen
business sense ... as well as sound practicality. Collectors
expend substantial amounts of money to build a collection,
therefore the least one can do is to spend their resources
"wisely"! By providing important industry & hobby
information to the collector, we hope that collectors will
be closer to being on a level playing field, and will be able
to apply available information in order to make sound
collecting decisions.
And yes, we back it all up with our knowledge of the business world.
Having dealt with many businesses, between running a number of our
own operations, as well as consulting & handling all manners of
financial matters for a wide variety of businesses, we are pleased
that many of our clients have become very successful. Many have
become millionaires, with one operation nearing $200 million
in annual sales.
Our strategic planning guidance works for our clients, likewise,
we are convinced that our stategic approach to sports cards will
also enable many to be successful collectors, as well.
