'Don't be afraid. The worst that can happen is you will fall asleep and nothing will happen,' assured the nymph Aethalia.
The subject was somewhat leery, and perhaps his suspicion justified. Who wants to lose the safety of their belief-systems, certainly not at the snap of someone's finger! Isn't that what individual identity is all about, the idempotent or personality?
To give up beliefs is giving up one's power! No power is to be a total zero! Each belief held dear is one small power piece, fleshing out the body of the mind. Two beliefs is one to the second power. Ten beliefs is one to the tenth power! Man expands exponentially in relation to his belief systems. Now these females sit him in a 'chair of forgetfulness'! Was this the castration of the mind? Where they leading him down the primrose path only to cut off his mind's balls in the end? Angst and double arrgh!!!!
A cloud of unknowing, leading to Nietzschean null and void; high strangeness and agnostic's agonizing anxiety! Was their method to result in his madness? Paranoia time had come creeping around the corner of his suspicious mind.
'Are you sure this is necessary for guidance and edification? Is this trip to the chair deadly?' he voiced his wariness in protest.
'There is absolutely no pain involved. It merely involves a technique for getting mind to release. Works on principles of auto- suggestion. Don't worry. We are not the same as the Sons of Belial with their 'mind parasites'.
'Hey, I saw that episode of Star Trek and that was grizzly!" he said, referring ahead some twelve thousand years into future.
'You go to the stars?" asked Thelama, showing some interest.
'He is evading and stalling,' pointed out Aethalia. 'Do you want to learn or merely play word games with us? Stop being a mother-hen guarding and defending your nest of golden poppy-cock eggs! Strip off the clothes of other people's conventions, and prepare to stand naked in a raiment of truth.'
Am I to stand or sit?' he answered, in passive willingness.
'As you wish, big man, but you must close your eyes and listen to our music. Let your imagination free-fall. Then follow what voices say. Soon you'll be ready for next exercise.'
The visitor relaxed in his Chair of Forgetfulness and closed his eyes. Immediately, the music began. Illumination around him dimmed. Music came from a slot in the wall that Thelama opened. For some minutes nothing but the playing of music transpired. Aethalia's fingers let go of his, and the two females retired from the room. A man's bass voice spoke. Music continued in the background. The voice began giving a history of what he referred to as Atzlan.
'In the beginning only the continent existed and was called Alta. When earth shook, this continent vibrated to the core. Beings of gentle and spiritual nature became interested in this area, a minor star of terra firma. They were pure essence manifested by free souls exploring. These free flowing essence forms possessed consciousness, part of evolutionary principles, developing will as a form of their energy. Because they were sparks, splitting away from light of first big-bang, each soul-essence contained a point of light. These souls were one step evolved from Spirits of Fire. Then Primal Beings evolved into higher beings, acting as Spirits of Personality guides. From billions of suns created during that first explosion of light, came continuous flows of light radiating into space and experienced as love. Light does possess consciousness, even as it exists in the universe forever.
'These forces and spirits were, and still are, connected with etheric dust of the universe in various stages of evolution and development. They take the sun of every galaxy as their heaven-haven for further evolution. One of these vibrations, or harmonic forces, left the sun to become leader of earth and moon. Watchers came along with these many free souls of hu that were later evolved and attached themselves to man. It was not long before the leader, some call Yahowah, tired of earth and moon, returning with his rishi retinue to their other place.
'Now there were free souls present without form. they were not made of material as humans are today. The most advanced could perceive physical world approaching our experience of day consciousness. They were free souls without form inhabiting trees, plants, or animals. While man was free-floating in soul-form without the limitations of body, the plants and animals of earth evolved. Evolution is similar to the Cause Of All Causes coming awake. Since each cell possesses consciousness and a point of light, it contains energy of will, and is in a sense connected to every other cell. Energy is a wave, but at the same time a string. Thus, all energy, even consciousness is inter-connected throughout the universe. Part of this string curves back on itself so is without end. The master consciousness of the Cause Of All Causes is sensitive to the waves appearing along the string. Consequently, throughout the universe, every consciousness communicates not only to the central Cause but to all others.
