Poetry is the life-blood of inward communication.

TRUTH COMES IN MANY COLORS AND SHAPES

Whether Solid Or Transparent Makes It Difficult To Handle.

THIS IS WHERE ONE MAY BEGIN...

TO KNOW ME IS TO SEE MY COLORS
(With a little help from a friend-Betsy Sise)

To know me is to know more than can be seen
I am so much more than the sum of my parts
A gestalt of George, the Quester:

What am I

For one thing,
I am what I may never show you
I am what I am willing to uncover
Let my true colors come through and let them be
My gift to you

I would share my blacks with you
nights without moons
trees stripped of leaves in winter
flowing streams stilled silent frozen
soul bare vulnerable
heart full of holes anger terror creeping through
loneliness
longing despair fright
shunting aside unfulfilled dreams

I would share my grays with you
evenings with undulating hypnotic shadows
misty morning's cold creeping in around collars
sorrow from friendships gone astray
sitting and staring

I would share my browns with you
earthiness
seasons changing and new beginnings
feeling finished and complete
soft fur warm comfort
young fawns cavorting on crisp multihued leaves
quiet times for going inward
centered within mind's eye

I would share my reds with you
hot spicy foods followed by energetic activity
tempestuous passion
running dancing leaping
challenge competition daring
keep up with me if you can

I would share my yellows with you
joy laughter
sunlit bright splashes
soft voiced bird calling to mate
lightness and a delicate massage
smiles of encouragement without judgment
spontaneous hugs and kisses
skipping rope inviting you in on the next jump

I would share my purples with you
virtue grandness
sensuousness sexuality excitement vitality
desire fascination regal magnificence
soft allure tinged with mystery

I would share my blues with you
music poetry painting and drama
vibrant healthy aura
eyes shinning looking back at yours openly
audacious scarves flaring from neck catching breezes
skies framing cloud children giving freedom space
cool hands on hot forehead
providing peace and healing

I would share my whites with you
goodness light
flashing silken haloes of truth honesty
love compassion lasting friendship
standing tall among mountains
bathed in sun-beams day's first dawn
tasting the limits and going beyond

Let my colors form a rainbow
Encompassing all around me
Giving pleasure to those who would know me

Some colors must be sought
to be found
Some scare me and may not be
to your liking
Some I would not care to share

But if you dare to know me
You may see them all
sometime

THINK ON THESE THINGS

When I was young and allowing
parents and friends to program my mind,
School tinkered and fiddled with the program
And gave answers to questions I never asked!
Then came GAME time.

My karma dictated an experience
With the military as well as the marriage game.
The work game was always important business to work through
My driver being: be good, work hard,

S
-U
--C
---E
----E
-----D!

No one told me and I never told myself
Concerning these games, I knew already.
I know.
I know this.
I know this already.

And my life became a real repeat performance.

I did the husband game, the father game,
And at work, the teacher.
This last was karma complicated by my blindness for
I did not see I was also the wife, the child, and the student.

The now is a screen and the film playing upon its surface
Is life as I am experiencing it.
Tricky it is for am I not in charge? I am
Writer, director, producer, actor, and also the audience!
I am the receiver.
I am the giver.
I am also that which is given!

I know this already
And still I fill my life with less than pure pleasure.

THE NAME OF THE GAME

Exchange is the name of the game.
Energy, love, attention, thoughts, good vibrations,
What could be more enchanting and self-fulfilling?
Renewal, excitement, astonishment, and even wisdom.

The paradox is it always takes two as minimum
Yin and yang in perpetuity,
For the Creator can not be without the created!
Man gives his God definition and purpose,
As God gives man singularity, consciousness, and
That perverse sophistry manifested in free will.

Consciousness. Ah there's the rub!
Memory, emotion, thought, compassion, and pernicious intuition.
The blush and the anxiety like tears and laughter
Separate man from animal, yet the plant may feel!

The poignant truth?
We have become cosmopolitan, secular, practical, and mechanical.
Do we have reason?
No. We have faith, hope, dogma, infallibility,
There names.. The Pope, capitalism, socialism, Protestantism,
And most assuredly the Easter bunny and Santa Claus.
Totems and taboos Darwin is still thought misguided and mistaken.

My Three Eyes

When looking me in the eyes please realize I have three
Eyes of flesh, giving me the experience of the senses to see..
Eyes of mind, providing rational intelligence for action, finding truth directly.
Eyes of contemplation, leading to mysticism and communion with ultimate reality.

All knowledge comes from experience of one sort or another and ends in it as well.
For reasons unknown, my inner reality can at times become spooked I can tell!
The cosmic truth is I am Gods mind in motionthats what I feel.
For I am alive as a sublime spirit with a creative soul quite real.

Number of people voting who liked the Chinese girl
in both pictures better than the poetry by wide margin.

The Quester and his Chinese partner in life's quest for what is important and lasting. As Confucius might say: "It's the relationship, stupid!" That is what is important in this life pursuit.
