A Novel Approach To Atlantis

The Atlantean building was cleverly done with a style and grace that only the Egyptians and Mayans could pick up where Atlantis architects left off.

Atlantis Architecture and Physical City Layout

Atlantis had a symbol showing 3 pyramids (^^^) and a capital city called Poseidonis and sometimes Poseidonais. The island or continent was pear shaped small end down. In island's center were low mountains with 5 rivers to north and 6th flowing to south. Colonies of Atlantis were Calypso, Meropa, Tartessos. The capital was circled and crossed by canals that drained the hinterlands and flowed seaward. They were crossed with many bridges, some of which blended with the docks. There were even structures close at hand built out over the canals. That meant that in places within the metropolitan areas these canals were roofed over and had ships docked in their protective caverns.

The buildings were done with white, red, and black stones. These colors were used to give visual effects as decorations. Walls were covered with copper and the main interior citadel was lined with orechalkos that glittered like gold. The temple of Poseidon sat on three headed mountain, and was covered in gold plates.

Their most famous city and capital of the continent was of course named after their founder, Poseidon. Thus Poseidonais came into being. It had a citadel hill encircled by zones of land and water, a canal to the sea and bridges over these zones fortified by towers. The country became divided into Cantons or Provinces, each about 12 miles apart. Their docks were roofed in and the city was encircled by three walls. They had great cisterns for their supply of drinking water and baths. Their harbor was guarded by a sea wall.

The main temple dedicated to Poseidon was surrounded by large gardens with fountains, rare trees and flowers, a sports stadium and exercise grounds. Atlanteans also had the Temple of Sacrifice and the Temple Beautiful. In the Temple of Sacrifice, much healing was done using color and music along with massage. Electrical forces were used for surgery or de-materialization, since feathered appendages and other animal characteristics needed to be removed from the human subjects used by the Sons in their experiments. They needed a simple work force and slaves, especially if on the beastly side, seemed to be ae good answer. In the Temple Beautiful, the soul could be purified. From 28,000 BC to the last destruction, the Temple Beautiful did soul purification by training the subject in the arts. Serving man as reminders, the arts taught the subjects not to stray from the positive path.

Natural resources were unlimited. Precious metals were mined, wild animals domesticated, perfumes distilled from fragrant flowers, palaces, temples, and docks were built. Bridges and canals connected different parts of the city and country. They also had wild animals such as deer, bear, pig, aurochs, and lions.

Each land zone was enclosed with walls, the outer covered with brass, the middle with tin, and the inner most with orichalch. Palaces, temples, and public buildings were in the center citadel surrounded with a final wall of gold. This was a sanctuary for Poseidon and Cleito.

A rose to you for getting this far. Unless you faced a fierce ATTACK BUTTERFLY, and in that case think pleasant thoughts and it will land gently on your shoulder.
