Atlantis actually existed. According to the Egyptian priests, who loved to impress the Greeks with their stories, Atlantis was a full-fledged continent. Within it's territory lay the heart of a great and wonderful empire. It also had dominion over several other land-masses: i.e. Mu and Lemuria, as well as Libya and Egypt in the north of the African area. The educated knew the nature and power of certain cosmic forces and had means of transmission and transportation that even today would be considered strange.
-----Four Important Dates For Atlantis
By 30,000 BC both Atlantis and Lemuria were still above water and supporting populations; however, in 28,000 BC that portion of Atlantis now under the Sagasso Sea in the Atlantic went below water. In 17,000 BC a second destruction of Atlantis took place. Three large and several smaller islands resulted from this. Those three large islands were shaken, stirred, and sank on June 5, 8498 BC at 1300 hours. This coincides with the opposition of the sun, Venus, the moon and earth. During that day the Carolina Meteorite crashed into the Mid-Atlantic Ridge causing the crater fields of Carolina and Georgia along with the numerous blue holes of the Caribbean.

From the Bay of Biscay area they spread to Ireland, Breton, Basques, and Berbers with language similar to each other as well as Georgian, Japanese, Central American (Guatemala), Maya, Malaya, and Polynesian! They used Libya as a staging area for their troops.
The continent was also known as Alta or Poseidia as well as Atlantis and Antila (Antilla) and also Satunia. Fisson and Gihon were rivers on the Atlantean continent.

The Bereshith Book was one record coming out of Atlantis but was done late in their history. The Samaritan book of Asatyr, also called Book of Jubilees is even older than the Bereshith Book and both are older than the Bible. There was a Hall of Records with duplicates of those buried alongside of the Great Pyramid.
When Atlantis sank, it caused slime and mud in the Atlantic to the extent no one could sail out of the Mediterranean. The ocean was then known for the next 7000 years as the Sea of Darkness.

Early Greek mythology associated Atlantis with a mountain upon which three human beings lived: Evener, his wife Leucipe, and their only daughter Cleito. Poseidon wooed and wed Cleito who gave him five pairs of twins, all boys.
Thereafter, continent was divided into ten divisions each one going to one son. Atlas, the eldest was overlord. Each had governments similar to the other even concerning military matters.
There was a code engraved on a column of orichalch standing in the Temple of Poseidon on the central island. Within was the House of the Golden Bed. Every fifth and sixth year all would go to the Temple to renew oaths of loyalty, which was: "Never take up arms against each other." None had power of life and death over descendent unless majority voted that way. This was the real birth of democracy.

Atlantis was also known by many other names such as: Garden of the Hesperides, the Elysian fields, the land of the Hyperborean (in the north), the Happy Islands, the Islands of the Blessed and St. Brendan's Island. as well as the Isle of Avalon. They lent colonizers to the races that became the Olmec, Inca, Egyptian, and Greek. Some claim that the Etruscans, Iberians, and Celts were also influenced by the survivors that fled before the end came to their continent.

-------Second destruction............ 28,000 B.C. broke into 5 islands
-------Third and final destruction... 10,000 B.C. The Tibetan Book of Dzyan says 9564 BC sunk. Edgar Cayce also claimed Atlantis destroyed three times only by nuclear holocausts at 50,000 B.C., 28,000 B.C. and 10,000.
