Washington D.C. USA...  The execution of convicted Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh has been delayed due to the fact that the FBI failed to turn over some 4000 documents by the last count. Based on what this person admits to having done, this decision seems to be rather unpopular, however this may be the only way to preserve any trace of integrity left in the U.S. legal system. The execution will still take place and it is rather unlikely that any court will grant a new trial.  Although most will agree that the system must follow their own rules even when painful, will anyone push the issue long enough to find out what really happened? The sheer number of documents involved here makes it quite obvious the failure to provide these items to defense attorneys was intentional. Personally I doubt the facts will be released during my lifetime. Anytime we encounter this type of situation, we reach the point where the information has been declared to be "classified". Perhaps a brief history lesson is in order here.
JFK was assassinated in 1963. The report on this investigation has been classified and will not be released until sometime like 2037. Of course there have been many other investigations of the investigation and the government did release information. The following is an excerpt from the classified documents that were released.

Israel... Several persons were killed and injured in a bombing today. This bombing was done in retaliation for the bombing yesterday, which was done in retaliation for the bombing done the day before yesterday, which was done in retaliation for the bombing done the day before that, which was done in retaliation for.... There are at least two lessons to be learned from the reports of violence in this region. The first being, these people have been retaliating since the time before humans developed the language to keep records of who has been retaliating. The second lesson is rarely reported by any of the major news agencies. Should you enter into a dispute which escalates into violence, be prepared to spend billions of dollars to deliver your implements of destruction. Anyone lacking the finances to spend billions on these endeavors must also do battle with the media and governments who label them as terrorists.

Supreme Court Strikes Again

Washington D.C. USA... Once again the top court in the land has demonstrated their ability to focus their attention in the wrong place and make the wrong decision. The recent decision to force the PGA to change their rules and allow golfer Casey Martin to use a cart opens up a very large can of worms. The court's opinion that the fatigue of walking 18 holes does not alter the game could be due to the fact that your tax money or some lobbyist pays for that cart they ride. I wonder if fatigue comes into play when rain changes the schedule to 36 holes in a day. I have absolutely no idea how many people are planning their own lawsuits or what their reasons for a rule change is going to be, however I am certain the decision will generate a lot of revenue for the court's brothers in the Lawyers Union (AKA The American Bar Association). I have never met Mr. Martin, who may be a very nice person, nor do I have anything against any other handicapped people, but the decision is 100% wrong. Interested parties should contact me to be included in a class action lawsuit. I suffer from a chronic condition known an short sliceritis syndrome and will petition the court for my right to use the mulligan during tournaments. Move over Tiger Woods here I come.
