Tools for hackers ("secure" screwbits, cable TV sleeves/tools, etc...)

Did you know that a lot of devices are assumed to be 'secure' just because they are assembled with 'security screws'? This includes Cable TV converters, Cellular telephones, scanner radios, CB radios, Public payphones, vending machines, bill changers, photocopiers, anti-theft devices, etc.....!

----------------

TOOL-100 Cable television sleeve tool Many cable television companies and institutions use "cable sleeves" for signal security. The sleeves are often employed to prevent you from removing a cable from a wall socket, or two cables from each other (see below for pictures of these scenarios). The sleeves are particularly nasty because they allow the cable to rotate, but there is NO way that you can remove the cable without the special tool! Even if you cut the cable, a little "stub" will remain proving that you tampered with the wire. We have the special deep-socket, slotted tool used to install and remove these sleeves (Reaches down into sleeves as deep as 1-5/8"). These tools are fantastic for cable employees, private individuals who maintain private cable systems (hotels and hospitals use these sleeves to prevent access to the cable jacks in customer/patient rooms and to prevent theft of cable boxes (most people don't carry wire cutters with them, so if they cant remove the cable, they can't steal the converter.) and to prevent people from bringing in their own cable descramblers (often, hotels and hospitals use very weak forms of scrambling (sometimes even NONE at all!) that are easily descrambled by customers who bring their own descramblers... IF they could only remove the cable from the wall to re-route it through their own boxes), parents who want to lock adult cable shows out from their teenagers and even jokers who can use these sleeves and tools to "lock up" unsuspecting marks' cable lines as a prank.

The most popular use for these sleeves are to prevent access to your cable TV line where it meets the main distribution lines either "up on the pole" or in a metal distribution box. If you are not authorized, we recommend that you not attempt to use this tool to attach cables, remove filters, or perform any other activity in these areas. The tool that we sell is made by the same company that makes the sleeves, compatibility is guaranteed. Our tools utilize longer shafts than previous tools, to ensure that they can remove the newer long sleeves. The cable company pays more than three times our price when they buy this tool from the manufacturer! Only $19.95 !!

TOOL-101 Cable TV sleeves These are the sleeves for the above tool. They are useful for replacing sleeves that were damaged by tampering, adding sleeves to your system to prevent children from watching Adult cable TV, or for securing your cable system (if you own a cable network in a hotel, for example). These sleeves are hardened metal, and are the same brand that the cable company uses. Our price is only $1.00 each per sleeve, or get one free when you buy two sleeve removal tools.

TOOL-102 Security bitset with driver More and more of today's high-tech devices are being secured with security screws. These are like regular screws as far as threading (although sometimes they are cut with a clockwise thread to fool you) but the heads do not have the regular slotted or phillips head. All Motorola cellular telephones use a Torx (6-pointed star) screw, which is hard enoough to get, but most cable boxes (Scientific Atlanta, Pioneer, many others) now use a SECURE Torx screw, which is similar to a regular Torx screw but reqires a hole in the bit in order to fit the screw. Some individuals have attempted to drill into Torx bits to convert them into secure bits, but this usually results in snapped drill bits or shattered Torx bits-they are made out of hard steel and resist drilling. There are also secure versions of Hex bits, Squaredrive bits, and others. Our exclusive bitset contains over 30 pieces to allow you access to most any device out there. We are the only source we know of for the special micro-sized Torx bit required to open the Oki-900 cellular telephone! The set includes 9 secure Torx bits, 4 secure square bits, 7 secure hex bits, and an asortment of flat and phillips head bits, as well as a 2-piece adapter allowing you to use the included screwdriver handle to operate standard 1/4' drive sockets or use your existing 1/4" driver handles to drive these bits. Screw-off cap in the handle reveals storage space for your favorite bits. See the picture to view all the bits, the handle, and the custom case. Only $34.50! (A great price for a set that will get you into everything!)

TOOL-103 Pocket-sized security screwbit set This amazing pocket-sized set of screwdriver bits has over 32 pieces. All of the bits in this set are 'secure' devices and therefore very difficult to obtain. The assortment contains "spanner" or "two-hole" bits, Tri-wing bits (they look like Phillips bits but only have three sides), Secure Phillips (4 sides, but offset, so a regular Phillips screwdriver wouldn't fit), secure Hex (both English and Metric), and secure Torx bits.
The set also comes with TWO custom molded bit holders. The spare holder fits over the set to form a small, portable kit that you will find yourself tucking away in your pocket or toolbox so that it will always be at hand when you run into a 'secure' bit. But that's not all! Also in the kit is a magnetic bit holder that allows you to use these bits in your drill or electric screwgun!

Sale! Our supplier temporarily dropped the price 50% on these bitsets! We got as many as we could but we are limited to our current stock which we can sell for the low price of $14.95 When these are all gone, we are forced to charge $29.95 for this set. Regardless, the kit is worth this much JUST for the metric sized secure Hex bits, which are impossible to find at any price.
