CONCLUSION

In this paper the complex RBF or CRBF network was proposed as a nonlinear equalizer for complex signals. From the simulation results it is easily verified that the CRBF can deal remarkably with the distortion due to bandlimited channels.

In terms of SER, the CRBF performs much better than the complex LMS, in the nonlinear envvironment, and is able to restore the constellation properly in presence of high nonlinear distortion. When there is no nonlinear distortion than the performance is comparable to that of LMS.

In future the CRBF can be used for blind channel equalization of the linear/nonlinear channels, and also for channels with deep spectral nulls in their bands.
