I was doing a research paper on Gauss's Disquisitiones arithmeticae and I
noticed you have his name spelled with a "C". Since he was from a Germanic
country, he was also from a Germanic country. In those countries, at that
time, there were no words that started with "C". His name in fact starts
with a "K"arl. I have the above book, that's how its spelled, and I also
checked my Calculus book and asked my German teacher.
The "C"arl is an Americanize way to spell his name. Thought you'd like to
know.

* It is in factly supposed to be in "K" as he is German. I choosed to do his in "C" because I wanted mine to be the best resource on Gauss available in English. As an American, I have seen his named spelled with a "C" more often with a "K." Thus, in order to recieve more hits, and to better suit this page to the (American) English language, "C" was chosen.
