Hi, I am a student at Park City High School and I am doing a math project on Gauss. I was just wondering if you could help me out with one of his formulas? We need to find his formula for adding all of the numbers from 1 to 100. If you know where I can find this would you please answer me back A.S.A.P.

Wow... this is one very popular question, I didn't post it on the Formulae page because he wasn't the first to find it. I might reconsider now, or at least use your e-mail on the commentary... hmmm....

The variable 'n' is 'number.' In this case, it would be 100.
